Short Intro. Hi there! My name is Amanda Macias. I'm a skilled professional with focus on Paid Social and Digital Marketing who strives for success. I'm always ready to get my feet wet with new experiences and skills to improve myself.
Where Have I Been? I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor in Business Administration, concentration in Human Resources and a minor in Organizational Behavior. I've worked in different positions such as an Office Assistant for the Adult Literacy Program at Brooklyn College and a Sales Associate in Retail. I also raised proceeds for Sharsheret Breast Cancer Foundation and Elizabeth Pediatric Aids Foundation by coordinating events while in school.
Where Am I Now? Currently, I'm a Sales Associate for a retail company called Bath & Body Works, which allowed me to gain multiple skills. I'm proactive, observant and great at speaking with customers to uncover their needs. However, I'm also currently a Digital Marketing Apprentice in a non profit organization called COOP. COOP trains skilled graduating college seniors into the Digital Marketing field. I'm learning the latest knowledge in Excel, HTML/CSS, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engine Marketing and Paid Social.
Where Am I Going? My ultimate goal is to gain a successful career using all my experiences and skills I have developed to get into the beauty industry in the marketing field.

2 Companies I really admire and Why
Michelle Phan is the founder of ipsy and has inspired countless women through her beauty videos on YouTube. She was one of the first YouTubers I watched and saw her dreams actually come true. I have been a customer for ipsy for a while and they're great at sending subscribers different high quality beauty product samples. These samples vary from skin to hair care and it has allowed me to get staple products in my every regimen.
Covergirl is an affordable makeup brand in which I use their products all the time. They are famous for their slogan "Easy, breezy, beautiful Covergirl." I think that they are the most diverse cosmetic company. They have a different celebrities that people would idolize to become part of their campaigns. Covergirl influences many young women to gain confidence in who they are.
Let me tell you about the time I made someone happy.
Setting the stage. As a sales associate at Bath & Body Works, I communicate with customers on the daily basis to find out what the customer needs and what brings her into the store.
The beginning. A customer approached me asking what would be a good scent to purchase for her granddaughter for her upcoming birthday.
The middle. In order for me to recommend a product, I proceeded to ask her questions that were personal, such as how old is her granddaughter and what is her favorite color. Her granddaughter was turning 13 years old and her favorite color was pink.
The End. I showed her my favorite pink scent and she loved it! I proceeded to build the sale by guiding her to all our new products, she ended her day at our store by purchasing the products I recommended for her granddaughter and she purchased items from the new collection that I showed her. She loved the way I was patient, and easy to talk to that she complimented my work ethic.
Reflection. Conversing with this customer allowed me to realize that patience and communication are significant in order to achieve a goal.
