Short Intro. Hi! My name is Kayon Walters. I am an aspiring business administration professional with a strong interest in entertainment.
Where Have I Been? I graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management and Finance. My experiences includes part-time jobs honing my customer service skills. Through these experiences, I have learned to work successfully in a fast paced environment with a diverse population and have had to think quickly on my feet to handle customer problems.
Where Am I Now? Currently, I am a Sales Associate at American Eagle Outfitters Inc., in which I train employees in order to increase performance and sustain customer satisfaction; With my charisma and hunger for professional growth, CO-OP became an enticing prospect, hence my reason I applied for the program. CO-OP is a connective entity that creates a bridge between public universities and local employers looking for entry level talents. Throughout the program, I would gain 200+ hours learning digital skills such as paid social, web analytics, SEO and SEM.

1 Learning Target

2 Companies I really admire are HBO and Disney
Home Box Office is a company that I admire because of its impeccable ability to launch television shows or movies of top performance. The company's innovative quality has changed the way viewers interact with television.
Disney is a company that I admire because it is the leader in corporate social responsibility. Disney has such an impact on children, teens and young adults, therefore uses its idolized role as way to influence the young to participate in social responsibility.
Let me tell you about ...
Setting the stage. Summer 2013, I decided to become a general counselor for a not-for-profit called the Fresh Air Fund.
The beginning. It was an intense 2 weeks training because counselors were hired from all parts of the world.
The middle. In the middle of the camp session, there was a virus outbreak. Many campers and counselor got sick, therefore the camp was short staff. Counselors that were not infected, myself included, had to handle many different job roles regardless of training experience.
The End. Due to effective teamwork, the camp was able to resume and complete the rest of the summer.
Reflection. It is important to be adaptable because things can change at anytime.
