Short Intro. Hello, my name is Seth Zeltzer. While relaxing, I enjoy watching TV and spending time on the Internet. While working, I enjoy learning new skills and analyzing problems in order to come up with multiple solutions. Check out Seth's page!
Where Have I Been? I graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Classics in May 2013. I was a college assistant at Brooklyn College and an office assistant and website designer at H&L Heating Supply. I also served as the secretary and president of the Brooklyn College Anime and Manga Club.
Where Am I Now? Currently taking part in COOP and am volunteering at Masbia of Flatbush Soup Kitchen. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel and hope to learn more skills relevant to digital marketing. I am hoping that by being part of this community I can not only learn but grow.
Where Am I Going? I would like to further develop my communication and problem solving skills and while I am unsure of my final destination I am looking for an opportunity that I will enjoy that offers both room to learn new things and personal and professional growth.
- I can communicate clearly.
- I can work on multiple projects at once.
- I can produce multiple solutions for a problem.
1 Learning Target
I can work under a deadline without being affected by stress.
2 Companies I really admire and Why
I admire Amazon because it is an extremely convenient way to quickly buy almost anything. Amazon has managed to be one of the first results when searching for products regardless of the type of product.
I admire Facebook because it has successfully connected over one billion people. They are constantly at the forefront of social media and generate a large majority of all ad revenue from social media.
Let me tell you about ...
Setting the stage. Starting in Summer 2011 I tutored incoming freshmen for the Brooklyn College SEEK Department.
The beginning. I attempted to be as friendly and approachable as possible so students would be more forthcoming with questions and concerns. During the middle of the program I noticed that students were too comfortable around me and were not doing their work.
The middle. I became stricter around the students in order to get them to do their assigned work during their tutoring sessions.
The End. I did not fully accomplish my goal, but I gained knowledge I used in future summer programs.
Reflection. I learned from the mistake I made and applied what I learned in the future.
