Our Anniversary Year

In 2024, COOP will celebrate our 10-year anniversary. Throughout this year, we will be even more reflective about what we have accomplished and all we have yet to do.

In the months ahead, we're excited to share big news, innovate and evolve, and build an even stronger foundation for the future. This will prepare us to help even more first-generation, low-income college graduates gain the skills and network they need for the careers they deserve.

A heartfelt thanks to COOP alumni: celebrating 10 years of dedication and impact

November 2024 (written by Felix Dalgo) - As COOP celebrates a decade of impact, we pause to honor and thank the true heart of our organization—our alumni.

From day one, COOP alumni have been the driving force behind our growth, starting from those humble beginnings running classes in a Chipotle restaurant to now supporting thousands of young professionals in upwardly mobile careers across major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, and the Bay Area.

Our alumni’s impact is profound, their commitment inspiring, and our gratitude for them immeasurable.

What started as a small, passionate community has grown into a national movement, and our alumni have been key players in this journey. Over the years, YOU, the alumni have gone above and beyond: posting job opportunities, referring COOP graduates to promising roles, serving as cohort captains, volunteering on panels, sharing your stories to inspire the next generation, and facilitating spaces for COOP events and workshops. Many have even contributed financially, helping ensure that COOP can continue to provide a path to career success for new generations of fellows.

Every workshop led, every panel attended, every dollar donated, and every story shared by our COOP alumni contributes to the vibrancy and strength of our mission. It’s through your goodwill, commitment, and volunteerism that COOP has grown into the organization it is today. Because of you, COOP has been able to expand its reach, impact more lives, and celebrate a legacy built on connection and community.

To each of our alumni, we extend our deepest gratitude. You’ve helped turn COOP’s vision into reality, and we couldn’t be prouder or more grateful to have you as part of the COOP family.

COOP to make Civic Hall its NYC HQ

June 2024 - “We are excited to join the thriving community at Civic Hall this fall when we bring the COOP Careers Fellowship to Union Square," said Kalani Leifer, Founder and CEO of COOP. “Thanks to this partnership, our fellows will be surrounded by entrepreneurs and innovators who will support their growth in the tech industry.
