Through collaboration with the NYU School of Professional Studies (NYU SPS), COOP is proud to launch an enhanced Data Analytics fellowship experience this fall.
Fellows will gain access to NYU SPS academic instruction alongside COOP’s signature cohort-based professional development and networking opportunities.

Fall 2026 New York Data Analytics fellows will benefit from the expanded data analytics instruction, delivered by NYU SPS, paired with COOP’s signature cohort-based professional development and networking opportunities. Upon successful completion, fellows will earn an NYU SPS Certificate in data analytics and digital badge, helping position them for entry-level roles in data analytics and related fields.

No. The NYU SPS Data Analytics certificate offered through the COOP Careers Fellowship is not credit-bearing.

No. For the fall 2026 cycle, New York Data Analytics fellows will earn the NYU SPS certificate at no cost, thanks to generous contributions from COOP’s philanthropic partners.

The fellowship provides hands-on training in data analytics fundamentals, Excel, SQL, data visualization, dashboards, data storytelling, and artificial intelligence applications in analytics, while also building real-world experience through applied projects and career preparation support. The NYU SPS curriculum is integrated into COOP’s proven fellowship model; fellows will also benefit from cohort-based learning, professional development, employer engagement opportunities, and access to the networks and social capital that are critical to career success.

The modality of the New York Data Analytics fellowship will not change, and will match the other tracks in New York. Most curriculum is delivered through Zoom (Mondays-Wednesday evenings, 6:30-9:30 PM) with one session monthly delivered in person. This session will always occur on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evening from 6:30-9:30 PM, and fellows will meet at Civic Hall in Midtown.

Yes! You can think of the data analytics fellowship experience as the best of both worlds–you’ll receive enhanced instruction and an NYU SPS certificate, but you’ll still gain access to all of COOP’s trademark benefits, including peer cohorts, captains, and access to COOP’s employer partners.

Yes, with one minor change. The data analytics fellowship will kick off on August 12th, and fellows will meet weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30 PM. The New York Data Analytics fellowship was originally scheduled to end on December 3, but will now be extended to December 15. If this change poses any challenges for you, please contact Recruiting@coopcareers.org.

Yes! Alumni support for the New York City Data Analytics fellowship will mirror all other regions and tracks, with up to eight months of post-fellowship support offered. Our goal is to provide the support you need to land your first good job!

Yes! When fellows successfully complete the fellowship, they will have access to an NYU transcript, a digital badge and will receive a verification of program completion letter from NYU SPS, upon request. Certificates from NYU will be issued in March 2027.

No prior experience or prerequisites are required for the data analytics fellowship. During the first few weeks of the program, fellows will build foundational Excel skills that will prepare them for the data analytics coursework delivered in collaboration with NYU SPS. The fellowship is designed to support learners at all experience levels and provide the tools needed for success throughout the program.

New York Data Analytics fellows will be able to get an NYU ID which gives you access to the NYU SPS building in Midtown and 7 E 12th St, access to the NYU Library, NYU Computer/Bookstore student discounts, and invitations to NYU SPS events
